Pointed video post – ‘99 Luftballons’ by Nena

Earlier today the administration decided to scrap the signature nuclear arms limitation deal with Russia that has been in place since 1987, and I turned on the radio – KOOL 108, in fact – and heard this song come on. Coincidence? Rather a propos, I thought. The eighties have been coming back with a vengeance recently, and not in a good way. The threat of a further escalation of the New Cold War and a new arms race makes this song unfortunately relevant again. Hast du etwas Zeit für mich?
